"BLUE BILLION-POUND BOTTLE JOBS"

CHELSEA FC £ 1bn Team v LEEDS Team (Championship League)
FA Cup 2024
Just after 72h being bitten by Liverpool in AET in Carabao Cup, CFC find themselves in clash with Championship club Leeds United in FA Cup.
The commentators were united that was heartbroken experience for CFC however I haven’t seen anyone from Chelsea squad to fight for ball apart Gusto and time to time Gallagher and perhaps one more but definitely not Jackson, Sterling, Palmer, Colwill, … Petrovic was very unlucky and despite two goals conceded was spot on. Both goals in Chelsea side received because of the mess in defence, completely unorganized and lost.
Result was up to the end 2:2 and luckily for CFC in 90’s minute of the game Gallagher managed to score, how the game ended.
I was stunned that commentators after the games praise the game and that this was “redemption” for lost game against Liverpool 72h before. How on earth they are saying for the victory to be “redemption”. This was FA cup game was not the final game like in Carabao Cup and it is still long - long way to the final. Firstly, to beat Leicester in the quarter final, then semi and only then will be final, while game with Liverpool was already the Final of Carabao Cup.
Will CFC come to the final? My prediction would be – certainly not, we have no chance with the manager with no ideas and plans for the game and top of which we have unmotivated players.
Will be difficult against Leicester? Chelsea will host Leicester City in the quarter finals, a rerun of the 2021 final. Luckily perhaps for Chelsea, Leicester lost last 3 league games and they are looking to straight promotion back to Premier League therefore, we cannot expect the best Leicester team to play.
Leeds played well and ran them close, but it wasn’t quite enough. They’ll concentrate on winning promotion back to the Premier League rather than fairing on all cylinders in FA Cup game.
The only correct comment I heard recently about Chelsea was from Gary Neville after CFC v Liverpool game who called Chelsea "BLUE BILLION-POUND BOTTLE JOBS". You were spot-on this time!"
