I SAW DESPERATION AT THE TORY CONFERENCE - THE FEELING OF CRISIS

The main character at the recent Conservative Party (Tory) conference was without a shadow of doubt Robert Jenrick, who continues to justify what he said in March 2025 recorded at a so-called private event.
“I went to Handsworth in Birmingham the other day . . . in the hour and a half I was filming news there I didn’t see another white face. That’s not the kind of country I want to live in” said Robert Jenrick MP – plotting to be Conservative Party Leader, aspiring Prime Minister and consequential representative of UK Plc on the world stage.
Mr Jenrick states these comments are nothing to do with race, but when you talk about not seeing another white face and state that it’s do with integration, how can you tell that you don't share values with someone on the basis of the colour of their skin. As we know, you can't tell where people are born from looking at them.
These sort of comments a few years ago would have been scandalous, but Mr Jenrick did not even try to distance himself from these remarks. Indeed, Mr Jenrick was completely unapologetic. Well, if it's got nothing to do with race or skin colour, why on earth did he state clearly “ WHITE face.”
He was indeed talking about a part of Birmingham which is very diverse; 12% white, 25% Afro Caribbean with Hindus, Muslims and Christians living side by side. Mr Jenrick states that this is part of the of the world that he wouldn't want to live in because it's not integrated. . .
Many people in the Birmingham area are deeply upset by these comments, suggesting Birmingham is proud of its diversity built by generations from every background.
Politically the most interesting comments came from people like Andy Street the conservative former mayor of the West Midlands who was highly critical of Robert Jenrick for making these remarks. Mel Stride, the Shadow Chancellor, said that they were not words that he would suggest belong to the conservative party, but the words of one or two individuals inside the party. There is obviously a split, but I think part of the problem for Robert Jenrick is that he does this sort of double speak afterwards where he has to clarify
his comments.
Nigel Farage, of course, wouldn't need to clarify any comments, he would just double down. Part of the problem that the conservatives have at present, is they want to copy Nigel Farage and the Reform party rhetoric to get people on their side.
Make no mistake, the conservative party has been in dire straits since March last year, and such comments from Mr Jenrick have a reason - it's obviously to appeal to a certain section of the party.
Many hope that Reform will not be seen as a serious party; their incompetence can be seen on every comment they are making, but the opinion polls have Nigel Farage winning a landslide at the next general election.
Meanwhile you have Robert Jenrick, who is a greatly loved by the Tory faithful, leaning into his “MAGA” [Reform] speak. At the Tory conference he was almost trying to avoid explanation while on the other hand allowing himself to say, “I completely stand by” [my comments].
Mr Jenrick does not look like a confident person who is comfortable in a leadership position. The conservative party does not want anyone inside or outside the party to be talking about such issues; they are focussed on wrestling back the narrative that they are the party of good economic governance. They think Labour don't have the stomach to cut spending, so they're going to put themselves forward as the party that can do that.
They really don't want to talk about immigration because they know they can't. For the 14 years they were in government, they did nothing apart from increasing immigration numbers close to a million.
They want to be the party to be trusted on the economy, but no-one is listening because everyone's talking about Robert Jenrick and Nigel Farage . . . and there are no other candidates who have the kind of leadership presence necessary to take charge of the narrative in that way.
I saw the interview with Kemi Badenoch and the political reporter Beth Rigby. She asked Ms Badenoch a question about whether she admires Nigel Farage. Obviously, she can't truthfully answer that question, albeit quite an easy question; she could perhaps have said, “yes I admire Nigel Farage but I don't think he's the right man to be Prime Minister” or “no I don't like Nigel Farage and I don't admire him because he's done this and this and I don't even feel that is right and correct”.
Even more bizarre at the Tory conference was Kemi Badenoch leader’s speech. She stated that she would deport 150,000 illegal immigrants per year. Well, Nigel Farage has stated the same number, but no-one is telling how and where. In 14 years, the Tory party managed to deport one (1) illegal immigrant to Rwanda; the individual received £3000, and they paid well over £760 million to Rwanda’s government.
Ms Badenoch’s conference speech, however, came with the “ icing on the cake” that she will abolish Stamp Duty on all property purchases. This is not just” icing on the cake” but Christmas coming early for rich and wealthy people in the UK, as most properties bought in England and Wales do not qualify for such a U-turn.
The Tory’s are still in denial and utterly delusional – but perhaps there is a small bit of good news as this is “not the kind of country I want to live in,” so presumably Mr Jenrick will soon be off.
That the same distinction applies for Reform party - party in denial and even more delusional, one man band, where the party leader Nigel Farage stabbed every Brits in the back with the wrong slogans and motives about Brexit and prosperity which the UK will exercise once Brexit is done.
The UK has still not recovered from what David Cameron, Nigel Farage, Boris Johnson and the Tory party during 14 years of governance have done to the UK and British people. The UK will need decades to recover slightly this insane chapter of madness of people who voted for Brexit upon such controversial propaganda planted by the above named people and party.
The new election is in March - May 2026. Do not be blind again, vote for the Labour Party only. Despite the fact that the Labour Party launched a war against me for no reason, I will support them as much as I can, so help me God!
