IS 5% INCREAS OF SPENDING REALISTIC OR JUST MORE MONEY FOR U.S.

Leaders of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), which includes several European countries, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada, are gathering in town Hague, Netherlands, for a yearly summit amid Russia’s continued war on Ukraine and uncertainty about Washington’s future in the alliance.
The NATO summit, which lasts for two days, is the first to be attended by U.S. President Donald Trump since he took office in January for his second term. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, the former Dutch prime minister, will also chair the meeting for the first time.
The main point here was not war in Ukraine or Israel-Gaza or Israel-Iran or even U.S. attack on Iran. The main point here was NATO 5% spending hike which was triggered by Donald Trump.
Why is this significant for U.S.? Because majority weapons and ammunitions would be manufactured in United States. Therefore, poor countries in EU would make “donation of 5% GDP” to Donald Trump United States budget and that after his tariff announced.
It is OK that Sir Keir Starmer stated clearly that the UK is to go on 5% for modernisation and equipment of our army in case if this will be manufactured in the United Kingdom because of the jobs and money stays in the United Kingdom.
However, I am looking from prospective of small EU countries like Slovenia which cannot at present handle not even 1.5% of GDP. Current PM of Slovenia Mr Golob announced “Resolution on the General Long-Term Program and Equipping of the Slovenian Armed Forces until 2040 (Resolution 2025)” which was an imperative government document for the NATO summit in The Hague which is nothing else then cover up of his government's embarrassment regarding new NATO commitments. When PM Golob was asked from where the money will come, he was speechless, given no answers of any kind.
This is the same for all other small countries in EU and even the bigger like Spain where Spanish PM Sanchez make open remarks that this is not counterproductive.
On NATO Summit there was no words about Russia, no words about Ukraine and president Zelensky was more spectator than being in centre of attention and interest. Thank goodness.
