Quite some time ago I wrote about the cheat, manipulation, not paid winnings and that normally all the casinos employees are talking rubbish where they are saying it is "legit" despite that majority of their answers or explanations doesn't hold water and they are trying to defend undefendable.

We all know that gambling industry is a territory where there is no clear legislation. Providers gain unbelievable access to people’s private lives. To sign up and to make a deposit is a very simple and in majority very straight forward however, in some cases some online providers are going even further like Sun Vegas owed by News Group Newspapers Limited which is also the parent company of the tabloid paper The Sun.

On my previous blog about the gambling, I received in total 167,205 emails and 11 big post bags of letters.

I have to say, they all without exception agreed with points I was making and they shared views and pointed out the issues they were came across with.

What strikes me this time is very very serious mater about players privacy. I asked my significant other who is top class journalist and broadcaster at Sky News to check few things about the letters where people are writing that Sun Vegas interfering with their privacy. I noticed instantly that there are some interferences straight after logging with Sun Vegas. When I tried to log to Sun Vegas, I received attack of 143 trackers which are “connected” to the Sun Vegas. That means that your data are “sold/transferred/shared” with 143 others of which you have not asked or agree to share your data with.

According to the material we received to date (28 October 2025) it is clearly seen that Sun Vegas are doing directly/indirectly check-ups with Credit Reference Agencies about every player what according to the current legislation is not required not to mention that is not allowed to do it without player(s) previous consent.

According to checks carried out by their verification providers, as listed in their Privacy Notice and in line with their Terms and Conditions (sections Verification Checks and Source of Funds Requests, points 6 and 7) they will verifying you through Credit Reference Agencies and they will know all about you – how many credit/debit cards you have, how much is you overdraft with your cards provider, what is still outstanding on your mortgage not to mention that they will get engaged with your outstanding debts in the form of a County Court Judgment (CCJ) if you have any. They are doing this purely to know how much money you can spend with them and not to prevent whatever.

In their emails Sun Vegas required documentation with which you have to confirm your source of income and surprise – surprise > debt clearance if you have any which has to include:

BANK STATEMENTS - Copies of your most recent bank statements dated within the last three months.

SAVINGS - If you support your deposits through savings / inheritance / property sales / winnings from other sites, or other instances when a lump sum has been used, please provide the relevant documentation.

DEBT CLEARANCE – Documentation to support the clearance of debt.

A certificate of cancellation or completion

A letter from the creditor confirming settlement or debt is satisfied in full

All payment receipts or bank statements showing all payments made.

They are also saying “if the debt is not yet paid in full, but regular payments are made in accordance with a repayment plan, we can also receive that, along with the bank statements showing said payments made so far”. At the end of their emails, they are saying “Please be assured that we will treat the provided information in the strictest confidence in line with our privacy policy. It is totally safe to share this information with us and it will not be used for any other purpose than to fulfil our regulatory and legal obligations”.

Amazing!

Regulatory and legal obligations? Who are you kidding guys?

My partner passed this further to one of Magic Circle law firm we are working with to comment on these issues and they categorically stated that Sun Vegas has no legal rights to do this doesn’t matter what is written in their Terms & Condition, it is against legislation and privacy act. They will refer all this further to one of their firm they are working with to prepare all for legal procedure against Sun Vegas and do all what is necessary to go after their licence.

Make no mistake, these should not be happening that one newspaper group who is well known of hacking and other non-legal interferences against Royalty (I don't mind if you still do this to Megan and Harry), politicians, VIP people or even ordinary people.
