ABOUT THE STAMPS

Superb stamps German Occupation of Montenegro, the rarest stamp of WWII - just less than 1000 issued, less than 100 known. Stamp come with double attest, one is from German attestator Schlenger BPP while second come from Velimir Ercegovich former Yugoslavian attestator. Stamp seems to be hinged however there is no trace of glue. From this reason only stamp listed as MNH/Mint. Otherwise there are no other "faults" which could be spotted with naked eyes. Regarding the overprint: For this particular set of stamps (Nationaler) there was 2 different photogravure printings. For this stamp misspelling errors is also well known eg. Verwaltungsausschuss become Verwaltungsausuuss instead. This second variety was then also quite often used in forgeries what is the reason more that you have to have such stamps approved- certified. Catalogue price by SG recommend value as POA.
