SAN FELICE Chianti Classico 12.5% 0.7L
Made entirely from native grape varieties, chiefly Sangiovese with the addition of Colorino and Pugnitello, this is a typical, medium-bodied Chianti Classico with a marked personality of particular elegance. Vinification follows the traditional sequence, with medium-length maceration, followed by ageing for 12 months in Slavonian oak ovals.

VINEYARD LOCATION: Agricola San Felice estate (Castelnuovo Berardenga, Siena)
ALTITUDE: 350-400 metres (above sea level)
SOIL PROFILE: Medium-textured, predominantly calcareous marl breakdown of Alberese and Galestro strata, with abundant gravel-pebble mixture, resting on rocks of the Monte Morello formation or on Macigno sandstone. Some extension into silt- and sand-rich alluvial soils.
TRAINING SYSTEM: Guyot and Spur-pruned cordon
GRAPES: Sangiovese 80%, Colorino 10%, Pugnitello 10%
HARVEST: from 24th September to 10th October
VINIFICATION AND CONDITIONING: 8-10 days fermentation on the skins at 28-30° C, followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless vats. Maturation in large Slavonian oak casks for 10-12 months, followed by 2 months in bottle
