1. Supermarket is an unlisted public company with an elected Board of Directors. The Principal shareholders in the Company are Independent Retail store owners of which major ones are Mercator and Montana. The Supermarket Board comprises four non-executive Directors.
2. Supermarket was established in 2012 with basic capital of £ 100,001,000.00 (€ 125,000.000,00).
3. In July 2012 Mercator and Montana were merged and following shareholder approval, the name of the merged company was changed to Supermarket Plc. There are currently ongoing court issue about the ownership of the name and use of Supermarket Plc.
4. Supermarket is the Licensor holder for Mercator4u (supermarkets) in the United Kingdom region. The principal activities of Supermarket Plc are:
- Retail property development.
- Procurement, storage, and distribution of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG).
- Liquor warehousing and distribution services
- Marketing and retail support services to Mercator and Montana supermarket outlets.
- Retailer training programs.
5. Supermarket supplies grocery products and marketing and retail support services to approximately 800 independent retail supermarkets, Satellite and Convenient shops and Express shops with numbers raising.
6. The Supermarket Plc Distribution Centre carries approximately 12,000 dry grocery lines and frozen/chilled product lines warehouse under superb organized Logistics distribution centre at Wembley London. The Distribution Centres are technology enabled, utilising the latest ERP computer platform linked via warehouse management systems and RF technology. All products can be find and bought over On-Line shop Mercator4u.com.
7. Supermarket Plc also operates under Trade Name Mercator4u. There are 8 Brand Names and Trade Marks currently in circulation and fully used.
8. Supermarket Plc is dedicated to offering big discounts, outstanding customer service and a wide variety of packaged groceries and perishables. It is also committed to establishing close links with the communities in which it does business. Supermarket Plc major activity is to be Number 1 retailer with Continental food and drinks on offer what was the reason of aggressive approach to all suppliers and manufacturers in Europe Community to join in this task.

COMPANY HISTORY
Montana and Mercator have joined forces and finances to starting fight against monopoles of few big companies (Sainsbury, Tesco, Morrison, Asda, M&S, ...) which are trying to overtake every single corner in UK with their shops. Moreover these monopolised companies want to dictate the prices and the rules of business.
These two young companies with huge experienced staff joint the task of “David and Goliath” by forming new independent company Supermarket. Supermarket is unlisted public company and still waiting to become "officially" the Public Limited Company (There is ongoing dispute over the legal right over the name what holding Supermarket being Supermarket Plc).
“New” company was formed mainly to generate new businesses from Continent. Mercator4u will make every effort to become Number 1 and leading wholesaler and retailer for continental food and drinks. Basic capital of new company is of GBP 100,001,000.00 of which GBP 50,000,000.00 comes from Mercator and the rest from Montana.

- Retail sale of meat and meat products in specialised stores
- Retail sale of bread, cakes, flour confectionery and sugar confectionery in specialised stores
- Other retail sale of food in specialised stores.
